This year marks 100 years since ‘The Great War’, and Zion, Bedminster Down, are helping to commemorate the occasion on Saturday, June 28th.
Between 10am and 5pm they will be hosting a free event that is suitable for all ages, with details of all of the day’s activities on the poster above (click to enlarge).
As part of the celebrations, Zion will be creating a wartime canteen, serving a special wartime menu that includes:
– Potted shrimp/potted mackerel and toast
– Pea soup & bread
– Cheesy toast
– Pie & mash
– Bacon/sausage butties
– Cream teas
– Victoria sponge
