You may or may not know that I work with Chowzter, who are committed to finding the tastiest fast feasts on earth each year. Their aim? “To provide amazing tips to foodies around the world about where to get delicious fast feasts of the highest quality at a good price anytime and anywhere.”

Chowzter work with handpicked bloggers and foodies in over 100 locations worldwide, who have been asked to nominate what they consider to be the must-try dishes in their city. On Sunday, April 27th, The World’s Tastiest Fast Feasts awards will reveal a list of the best dishes in the world as selected by these bloggers and foodies, in categories that span pizza, seafood, vegetarian, noodles, tastiest bird, rice, sandwich and bakery.

On the night, which will take place at Francesco Mazzei’s L’Anima Cafe in London, there will also be awards announcing the world’s foodiest city, as well as the best regional dish from Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia. The awards will then culminate in one dish being named as the “Tastiest Item On Earth”.

The finalists in the categories for this year’s Chowzter World’s Tastiest Fast Feasts Awards have been announced, and span the entire globe. The finalists range from a hidden Bangkok street food stall to a ramen bar in Tokyo through to a small canteen based at the Hindu Temple Society in Queens. The types of dishes included in the global shortlist  include a doner kebab from Berlin, a fried jam croissant from London, red velvet cake from Savannah and falafel from Paris. You can see the full list of category nominees by clicking here, and the regional nominees here.

The Chowzter lists are a great way of finding the greatest fast feasts in a wide selection of cities across the globe – and with each list curated by a food expert in that city, you’re sure to find great food that is more than likely not in any guidebooks or websites that you may be using to plan your trip!
