Hot on the heels of the news of Bristol’s Hangover Delivery Service, which launches on January 25, comes another brand new local delivery firm in the form of Doorstep Delights.
Launching on February 1 2014, Doorstep Delights will mainly be focused on delivering confectionery and non-alcoholic drinks, but a scan of their Facebook page suggests that savoury snacks such as Pot Noodles and other items will also be on the cards.
The service will be available from Monday to Saturday, 6pm to 10pm, with a delivery charge of £1.50. The minimum order for BS5, BS15 and BS16 postcodes will be £10, while the minimum order for all other BS postcodes will be £15.
Doorstep Delights offers users the choice between paying cash on delivery and paying via PayPal, with orders taken by text, telephone or Facebook. Products will retail at slightly higher prices than in the shops (e.g. cans of drink for £1, and chocolate bars at £1 or two for £1.80), but this is to be expected!
With the likes of Alcorunner providing a late night alcohol delivery service, meals.co.uk offering meals delivered from restaurants that do not normally offer a delivery service, and Doorstep Delights and Bristol’s Hangover Delivery Service soon to launch, where next for food and drink delivery in the city…?
