It’s now going to be rums instead of ribs, cocktails instead of chicken wings, as the former home of Hooters at Unit 2, Building 11 on Bristol’s harbourside is set to become The Cuban Bristol this September.
The cocktail bar and restaurant promises to stock over 100 handpicked rums (making them, they claim, one of the largest rum stockists in the UK…), from countries including not only Caribbean islands, but also from Australia, Austria and even Nepal. As you’d expect with such a large number of rums on offer, they’ll also be featuring an extensive cocktail list offering over 50 different concoctions.
Head chef David Parra Galvis has created a menu that includes a range of tapas dishes, along with Cuban mains, a grill menu and some fantastic-sounding desserts! There is a menu up on their website for illustrative purposes only (click here)Â – prices seem reasonable, the menu includes influences from other Caribbean islands too, and even on the illustrative menu there’s an interesting range of dishes available.
The Cuban Bristol will also be available for private hire, and there will be a reward scheme in place for loyal diners and drinkers. They’ll have resident DJs and bands, and their website also makes mention of salsa lessons…it seems like a great addition to Bristol’s harbourside for both drinkers and diners alike.
Visit the website at www.thecubanbristol.co.uk for more information – you’ll also be able to sign up to receive offers, information about upcoming events, and an invite to their grand opening…
