From 7.30pm on Saturday, April 6th, the lovely Danielle of the Bishopston Supper Club will be co-hosting a Spring Cider Dinner with the Bristol Cider Shop. With the aim of demonstrating that cider can be a great alternative to wine when cooking and matching drinks with food, the evening will consist of a cider-themed menu with a glass of the West Country favourite selected by Bristol Cider Shop to be served with each course. Pete from the Bristol Cider Shop will be on hand on the night to talk through his selections and answer any questions.
Tickets are £45 per head, with £15 to be paid to the Bristol Cider Shop in advance, the remaining £30 to be paid in cash on the night. Be sure to book early if you’re interested, as Danielle’s supper clubs sell out fast!
The menu – along with matched ciders – will read as follows (be sure to specify any special dietary requirements when booking):
Cider cocktail and nibbles
Wye Valley asparagus (weather permitting), Homewood’s ewe’s curd, cider butter sauce – Dunkerton’s Kingston Black
Apple wood-smoked sea trout, fennel, apple & beetroot salad, cider vinaigrette – Barnes & Adams Tyndale Gold
West Country cassoulet, spring greens – Millwhite’s Rum Cask Cider
