Stray Dogs – the Stokes Croft “haute” dogs and waffles venue that opened in November 2012 – continues to expand this February with the launch of a range of brand new menu items.

The hot dogs for which they have become known will still feature on the menu, but will sit alongside some amazing sounding new dishes.

A range of burgers, all homemade using beef and chicken from Dave Giles on Gloucester Road, will be priced at between £5.95 and £7.50: fresh local meat sandwiched between sweet, glazed buns with dill pickles, red onion, tomato and Stray Dogs’ own special mustard. They will be served up in baskets along with a free side of fries.

Says Stray Dogs Chris, “There are various items that we’ve had on the menu as specials at different times which we’ll also be making permanent fixtures. These include fried chicken waffles with whiskey gravy, spicy buffalo wings, pulled pork sandwiches, nachos and the pretty amazing Ice Cream Waffle Sandwich! We’ll also be adding a range of ‘Trays’ which are essentially different sorts of meal deals.

“We’re also expanding our brunch menu, most notably by adding a range of bagels, which as with all of our menu will be available to eat in or take away. All our breakfasts will also be coming with a free bloody mary!”

If you’re free on the evening of Thursday, February 28th, then head on over, as the team will be hosting a launch night for their new menu with some special promotional prices…
