Local biscuit bakers Mullion Cove will be celebrating St Piran’s Day again this year by baking a range of Cornish speciality foods and selling them on their stall at Whiteladies Road Market, Bristol on Saturday 2 March.
St Piran’s Day, named after the patron saint of Cornwall, is celebrated every year on the 5th March by the people of Cornwall, with regional Cornish food and drink being at the heart of the celebrations.
Mullion Cove has been making Cornish ginger biscuits known as Cornish fairings for over 3 years. They now produce over 7 different flavoured fairings and shortbreads supplying over 8 outlets in Bristol and Bath with their traditional biscuits.
Customers to Whiteladies Road Market can expect a selection of lovingly made Cornish traditional foods including freshly baked Cornish pasties, saffron buns, heavy cake, scones and Belgium dark chocolate dipped crystalised ginger fairings.
