Exciting times ahead for the Clandestine Cake Club, whose cookbook was published on February 14th! In order to celebrate, the Bristol branch will be holding a book launch on March 2nd…
If you’re a cake lover and haven’t heard of these guys, then it’s time to get involved. The club was founded by Lynn Hill in the summer of 2010, with the mission statement “Bake, Eat and Talk about Cake”- essentially, members meet up regularly (bringing a homemade cake with them), chat, and enjoy tasting each other’s creations! The “Clandestine” part of the name comes from the location…which is kept top secret until the last minute. If you’re interested in joining the Bristol group, click here to register your details.
Each event is organised around a theme, and the cookbook contains a number of fantastic recipes from club members from across the globe. Expect the likes of Scrumptious Sticky Toffee Cake, Smoked Chilli Chocolate Cake, and a Blood Orange and Rosemary Loaf.
To celebrate the launch of the book, join the Bristol club at Waterstones at The Galleries between 12pm and 2pm. As you’d expect from such a club, there will be plenty of cake, made by club members, and lots of cake-related chat! It’ll also be the perfect opportunity to find out more about the Clandestine Cake Club in person from a number of members.
