Burns Night – January 25th – marks the birth date of Scottish poet Robert Burns. Celebrated mainly in Scotland and Northern Ireland, Bristol also plays host to a number of celebrations of the poet’s life. We’ve gathered a list of Bristol-based Burns Night suppers below – if there are any that we’ve missed, let us know!

 

Friday, 25th January:

Hotel du Vin Burns Night Supper & Whisky Tasting – £60 per head

“Join us from 7pm for a tutored Scottish whisky tasting led by our very own Johnny Walker. This will be followed by a traditional three course sit down supper with wine to match each dish all accompanied by a Scottish piper and traditional address to the haggis.” – see here for details.

Burns Night at Primrose Cafe – £22.50 per head (£40 per head if you include whisky tasting)

“Why not join us for a Burns Night celebration this year? We’ll be offering a four-course traditional menu with a twist, topped off with a dram of Bruichladdich malt whisky.” – see here for details.

Loch Fyne Burns Night Supper – £23.95 per head

“Join us on Friday 25th January and enjoy 3 courses from our Burns Night Menu (including a dram of Talisker or a glass of wine) for £23.95 per person.” – see here for details.

Burns Night at The Green Man – £10 per head

“Keeping with tradition we will be offering Haggis neeps & tatties with a wee dram for £10.” – see here for details.

Saturday, 26th January:

The DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House Annual Burns Night – £35 per head

“Enjoy a 10-piece Pipe Band, 4-course Dinner, a ‘Wee Dram’ to toast the Haggis, and dance the night away at the Chris Alexander Disco” – see here for details.

Harvey Nichols Burns Night Cocktail Masterclass – £25 per head
