To celebrate the arrival of some very special rums at Creole Brasserie, the restaurant will be holding its first Rum Evening from 7.30pm on the 29th November 2012 with live music by Bristol jazz band: International Jazz Disaster.
A four course meal has been specially created to represent the provenance of each rum: Martinique, Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, and Jamaica. Each course will be served with a shot of the specially selected rum from that country.
Abie-Gail Pixley, Chef Owner at Creole Brasserie says, “I am delighted to be holding my first live Creole Jazz evening laced with Caribbean rum, accompanied by truly delicious Creole dishes – what an amazing cocktail! We are really looking forward to it!”
A wide variety of infectious, toe-tapping New Orleans-style music will be playing on the night. Henry Edmonds, bass player of International Jazz Disaster commented, “We love Creole music and it will be great to have the chance to play this at a live venue. We got some real sweet old-time, good-time hits of the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. We’ll just whip you up into a frenzy with a bit of somethin’ special, the beat, bass and geetar swingin’, clarinet screamin’, and the sweetest trumpet you ever did hear.”
Rum expert Sophie Mackay (a self-confessed rum geek from Spirit Cartel) will be narrating the rum pairings to delicious dishes to give guests a tantalizing insight into the wonderful World of Rum.
Only 35 tickets will be released for the Evening priced @ £40.00 each, so don’t miss out and book early to avoid disappointment.
