The Second Floor Restaurant at Harvey Nichols is celebrating yet another award – this time in recognition of its impressive wine list. Having picked up numerous top honours for its food this year, the stylish restaurant has now received an AA Notable Wine List Award.
Introduced in 1998, the AA award recognises an outstanding contribution to promoting the understanding and appreciation of wine. Nominees are judged on the quality of their list and their ability to inspire customers to make wider and more adventurous choices.
The luxury Second Floor Restaurant is one of just 264 establishments to have been recognised and a Notable Wine list logo will be highlighted next to its entry in the 2012/13 AA Restaurant Guide.
This latest honour comes just months after Head Chef Louise McCrimmon was voted Chef of the Year in the Bristol Good Food Awards. “We are delighted to have achieved this latest award,” says Louise. “It is a great recognition for our wine buying team together with passionate and knowledgeable staff at the store.
“They have put together a Wine List that not only looks at the latest trends but is also accessible to all budgets and tastes. That way, we are able to offer diners access to wines they might not have tried before with the confidence that they have been well selected and will not disappoint.”
