Enjoy a Balloon Fiesta special at the Bird In Hand in Long Ashton on Sunday, August 12th!
To celebrate the festival, which is synonymous with Bristol, the Pump House-owned public house and dining room will be offering diners the chance to order a overnight roasted shoulder of salt marsh lamb to share for Sunday lunch.
Reared on a diet of samphire, this lamb is the highlight of the season, and is sourced from the Gower Peninsula in Wales. Priced at £12 per head, this special Sunday lunch option is available for tables of 4 or more, and must be pre-booked.
From 4pm, the Bird In Hand will also have a Somerset Middle White hog roast available, along with all of the trimmings (home baked bread rolls, traditional English salad and new crop buttered Somerset potatoes) for £8 a head. This hog roast will be accompanied by some great live music – enjoy the Balloon Fiesta from their roadside garden and avoid the crowds while enjoying a great meal!
