Regular readers will hopefully already be aware of the Grillstock BBQ and music festival taking place on June 30th and July 1st 2012, which I wrote about last month. The two day extravaganza – which includes a chilli eating competition, live music and BBQ competitions starring some big international names – promises to be a hit…do you fancy helping to make it even more amazing?
The lovely people at Bristol Event Volunteers have a number of opportunities available for those wishing to volunteer at this year’s Grillstock. It’s not just those who are food-oriented that they want involved either – they have a number of volunteer roles in the following areas:
- Production Assistants/Runners
- Stage Assistants
- Site Crew
- Decor Team (and Decor Manager)
- Bar
- BBC Events Assistant
- Social Media
- Demo Tent Assistant
- Taste Tent
- Walkabout Artists/Performers
While these are volunteer roles, you’ll still be incentivised for your work. All volunteers will get a free weekend pass to the festival (performers also get three extra tickets for friends), a Grillstock t-shirt, and food and drink during your shift. Plus it’s a whole lot of fun – I volunteered last year and will be doing the same again this year!
