Prepare to be spoiled by Bristol’s top chefs, tomorrow’s restaurateurs and hospitality experts at the Grand Chefs’ Dinner at the South Bristol Skills Academy (SBSA) on the evening of Wednesday, June 27th.
The Hengrove Park campus will be hosting a ticketed event in their Winter Gardens, where diners will be able to enjoy a six course tasting menu provided by a wealth of local culinary talent.
City of Bristol college students will be cooking alongside members of the prestigious Bristol Chefs’ Forum. Josh Eggleton (Pony and Trap), Chris Wicks (Bells Diner/Berwick Lodge), Toby Gritten (Pump House / The Bird In Hand), Leigh Pascoe and Tim Denny (The Star & Dove) and Ron Faulkner (Ronnie’s of Thornbury / The Muset by Ronnie) will be providing a course each for diners.
The part time level 3 apprentices will also be preparing and cooking the food, while front of house will be coordinated by BTEC and VRQ students. Martin Hunt of Joe’s Bakery and the College Bakers will provide the bread selection.
The cost is £45 per head (plus £20 for optional wine flight provided by RS Wines).
A Grand Prize Draw will also be held on the night to raise money for the Partnership for Poverty Reduction Campaign in Morogoro, Tanzania. Well over £3,000 has been raised by the City of Bristol College so far.
The evening begins at 6.30pm, to be seated for 7pm. Only 100 tickets are available, and will be sold on a first come, first served basis: tickets can be purchased by contacting Fred Maindron on 0117 312 5412, or by emailing Frederic.maindron@
