Exciting news from the Square Food Foundation, host to The Pop Up Cookery School, taking place in June and July.
Barny Haughton and the team from Square Food (formerly the Cookery School at Bordeaux Quay) will be travelling around Bristol, armed with a single box of produce, some basic storecupboard staples and a few bits of kit to demonstrate four or five recipes that are delicious, exciting and easy to recreate at home.
At each location, not only will the recipes be different, but “each dish tells a different food story; about ingredients, method, nutrition, price and the place that all of these things have in the food we eat every day.”
There are currently two dates available on the website: St Aldhelms on June 14th, and the Redgrave Theatre in Clifton on July 18th. Each event takes place from 6.30pm for an hour and a half, and costs just £10 per head (plus booking fee).
