The following is a guest post from Bristol resident Viv Howells…
I’m Viv Howells, and later this year I’m hoping to take part in a trek through the desert to Petra to raise money for Coeliac UK, the leading charity working for people with coeliac disease.
This is a condition that affects about 1% of the UK’s population (approx 4,000 Bristolians!) and the only treatment is a life-long gluten-free diet.
I am aiming to trek Park Street, hopefully for 6 hours, on Friday June the 8th, from 11.00, partly to get in shape for the trek through the desert, and also as a fund-raising event!
So if you’d like to come along and support me and make a donation on the day, all contributions will be welcome; alternatively, sponsorship is really easy, just go to: www.doitforcharity.com/viv’spetratrek and donate online! Every bit of support will be much appreciated!
