Wine lovers are being given the opportunity to sample and enjoy natural wine at a selection of restaurants around the UK this May. In conjunction with The Real Wine Fair, which is taking place in London from 20th-22nd May, restaurants across the UK are being invited to take part in Real Wine Month, and give their customers the chance to try natural wines by the glass.
Natural wines are made from organic or biodynamic grapes with minimal intervention in the vineyard or the winery. Real Wine Month seeks to highlight and celebrate these wines in restaurants and independent retailers by making them widely available for consumers to taste.
Over 200 restaurants are participating around the UK, and confirmed in Bristol are: RiverStation, Bell’s Diner and Harvey Nichols Bristol.
Throughout the month of May, each of these restaurants will offer at least one white and one red natural wine by the glass. All the featured wines will be produced by a winegrower attending The Real Wine Fair. Many independent retailers specialising in natural wines will also be holding promotional tastings or consumer events in their shops. Local to Bristol these include Corks Of Cotham and R. S. Wines.
