In its first week of trading, Za Za Bazaar, the UK’s largest restaurant, welcomed a staggering 7,000 diners – averaging over 1,000 guests per day.
An additional 20 members of staff are now being recruited to meet demand as the Bristol Harbourside-based restaurant runs at high levels throughout the week as well as on the weekend.
Phil Maddock, General Manager, says: “We are beating all our targets. Za Za Bazaar is fast becoming a dining phenomenon.
“Affordable, fun and offering the highest quality cuisine, our restaurant concept is ideal for the current climate. We offer customers high quality produce, prepared fresh for each customer, at an affordable price.”
Za Za Bazaar is a ground breaking dining concept that offers a rich variety of global cuisine at a fixed price presented in a buzzing oriental ‘night market’ environment.
Adventure and live cooking are at the heart of the restaurant concept, which sets cuisine from India, China, Japan, the Far East, South America and Europe against vivid backdrops, reflecting the cultures from which it originates. Graffiti artists from around the world have created a vivid array of authentic murals throughout the restaurant. You can read the Bristol Bites review by clicking here.
Phil Maddock says: “The wow factor is definitely there when you walk through the door. Za Za Bazaar is visually stunning.
“Our restaurant has captured the media’s imagination. The range of media reports is almost as wide as our cuisine, with press reports appearing from Vietnam to South America and the Netherlands to India.
“We are on track to roll out our brand energetically in the months ahead.”
The Za Za Bazaar restaurant, which is on a landmark site at Bristol Harbourside, comprises 1,000 covers, over 30,000 sq ft. The restaurant staff will increase to a total of 150.
Seven further Za Za Bazaar ‘super restaurants’ are planned across the UK in a £10million + investment programme that could create over 1,000 jobs.
