Those who love to cook Oriental food will be happy to know that there’s a brand new Oriental supermarket now open in central Bristol.
Wah Yan Hong opened today (Monday, December 12th) at 13 Denmark Street – just off the bottom of Park Street.It’s a second Bristol venue for owner Sarah, who also owns Kin Yip Hon at 16a-16b St. Thomas Street.
While the supermarket isn’t yet quite fully stocked, there was still plenty on offer when I visited – hot drinks, snacks, sauces and pastes, oils…and, of course, a wide variety of noodles.
Chiller cabinets contain a range of noodles, meat and tofu products…
…while you’ll also find a varied selection of meats and other items in the frozen food cabinets.
Only a flying visit today while on my lunchbreak, but I’ll certainly be back when I have more time and cash – at the time of writing, they weren’t accepting cards as payment, but there’s an HSBC cashpoint just up the road…
