We have a great competition prize available for you this week! One lucky winner will win a place on Winstones Ice Cream‘s “Ice Cream Making For Beginners” course on Saturday, January 21st, 2012.
The course will be hosted by Ben Vear (author of “Make Your Own Organic Ice Cream” and the man behind the fab Christmas Pudding Ice Cream recipe now featured on our site), and his father Colin Vear of Winstones Ice Cream. The two-hour course will take place at Winstones’ premises near Stroud, Gloucestershire, where attendees will learn to make great ice cream from a family that has been in the business since 1925.
As part of the course, attendees will spend time tasting ice cream (of course!), picking out different flavours, tastes and textures, and get to see how ice cream is made commercially in a working ice cream factory. You’ll also leave with a goody bag, containing a recipe book, ice cream and a mini ice cream making kit.
Click here to see full details of the course, or here to read an article from Cotswold Life about a previous course that Ben ran.
We have one place at the January 21st course to give away, normally retailing at £40 per ticket. All you need to do to enter is to email me at emily@breaksandbites.co.uk, with the subject line “Ice Cream Competition” and the answer to the following question:
“What is the name of the founder of Winstones Ice Cream?” (you can find a clue here!)
The closing date for entries is midday on Friday, December 16th, when a winner will be picked from all of the correct entries. Please note that the competition does not include transport to and from the venue!
Good luck!
