With the launch of new Harbourside restaurant Za Za Bazaar imminent, details of the venue’s bar offering have now been revealed.
Za Za Bazaar will be offering a whopping 300 drinks from 5 continents, bringing together brands from around the world as well as from local producers. It’s bar manager Les Richards and bar consultant Ro Santus who have devised the drinks menu, which aims to cater for every taste and budget. Over 35 cocktails will be on offer, inspired by European, Asian, American and apparently even Arctic cuisines! The spirits, wines and champagnes range will be extensive, and Za Za Bazaar will be serving beers from 10 countries, including China, India, Portugal and Brazil – as well as Bristol Beer Factory’s No.7.
Les Richards says: “Za Za Bazaar is a wonderful celebration of food from around the world. Our bar offering will complement this. In addition to much loved favourites, we have been experimenting with mixing different flavours, for example using peppery garnishes in cocktails as well as fruit – you just have to taste the results!
“It has been great seeing – and tasting – wonderful drinks ideas from Ro Santus. He has created a special celebration Za Za Bazaar cocktail, which combines raspberry vodka, vanilla, fresh strawberries, elderflower cordial, ginger beer and a sprinkling of light pepper. It tastes wonderful and will be very popular.”
Les also explains that training bar staff has been very much a priority for the team. “We will create an exceptional level of service. We’re not just here to sell drinks – our aim is to give customers a unique experience that will leave them wanting to return.
“We’ll use the freshest ingredients. Even the syrups and purees will have been made that day. All fruit and vegetables used in the bar will be sourced locally.”
Za Za Bazaar is scheduled to open to the public on December 1st, and will be the largest restaurant in the UK. To keep up to date with the latest Za Za news and offers see www.zazabazaar.com, follow @ZaZaBazaar on Twitter or visit its Facebook page www.facebook.com/zazabazaar.
