To celebrate this year’s launch of their recipe book Hungry?, the team at innocent are hitting the road in their Hungry Grassy Van (HGV) this September to serve up a selection of healthy takeaway options from the book, with the Bristol leg of their tour taking place between September 13th and 15th…
The van will be in the city from Tuesday 13th to Thursday 15th September, in a different location on each day:
Tuesday 13th: At-Bristol, Anchor Road
Wednesday 14th: Centre Promenade
Thursday 15th: May Park Primary School, Eastville
The purpose of the tour? To offer people “a new tasty way to get their 5-a-day”. As innocent say:
“Swapping fast food staples such as curries and burgers for healthier options such as veggie burgers, squash and tomato curry and lamb kofte pittas, diners will be able to sample recipes from the new book and learn how easy it is to make healthy food tasty. There will also be a range of side orders to choose from (including rainbow root vegetable chips and chop chop salad) as well as a dollop of traffic light ketchup, puds and the odd smoothie or two.”
Dishes will cost between £2 and £3 and will all count towards your 5-a-day…and a £5 meal deal will be able to tick off your 5-a-day all in one go.
Win a copy of Hungry? with Bristol Bites
We’ve teamed up with innocent to offer Bristol Bites readers a chance to win a copy of new cookbook Hungry?. To enter, all you need to do is email emily@breaksandbites.co.uk with the subject “innocent competition” and your answer to the following question…
What percentage of the recipes in the book contain at least one of your 5-a-day?
The competition will close at midday on Sunday, September 11th and a winner will be chosen from all of the correct answers. We’ll then need to pass the winner’s address on to innocent’s PR agency to send out a copy of the book.
Good luck – and enjoy the HGV visit to Bristol! 🙂
