After the success of previous wine-matched suppers, Danielle Coombs of Bishopston Supper Club fame and independent wine merchant Grape & Grind are teaming up once again to host a Wine Dinner on Friday, September 16th…
The evening will take a similar format to regular supper clubs, the only difference being that you’ll have a glass of wine matched to each course and included in the price of the evening, rather than drinks on a BYO basis.
To book your place, simply pay a £10 deposit to Grape & Grind (you’ll find them at 101 Gloucester Road, BS7 8AT, and they are contactable by phone on 0117 924 8718), with the remaining £30 to be paid on the night.
The menu for the evening, along with the accompanying wines, reads as follows…
Aperitif – Sanchez Romate Amontillado
Wild Mushroom & Tarragon Soup – Allegrini Valpolicella 2010
Pigeon & Rabbit Terrine, Plum Chutney – Castelmaure Corbieres 2009
Fish Pie – Toques et Clochers Limoux 2008
Apple Curd Tart, Blackberry Sorbet – Chateau de Ricaud Loupiac 2002
Coffee/Lahloo Tea, Truffles
Darren from Grape & Grind will also be there on the night to talk diners through the wines and why he matched those particular wines to Danielle’s menu.
Menu alternatives are available for those with special dietary requirements – please mention these when booking your place. On booking and paying your deposit, a confirmation email will be sent, which will include details of the address (it’s in Bishopston, as you’ll probably have guessed from the name!)
Spaces are limited, so book your place quickly!
