After a hugely successful appearance in Bath, Bristol’s popular Love Food Festival will be back on home turf with the Love Food Summer Party which will take place on Sunday July 17th at Paintworks…timed perfectly to coincide with National Ice Cream Day!
Expect a huge indoor market full of delicious local food from some of the regions finest producers including artisan cheese from Trethowan’s Dairy, cakes and jam from Pass the Teapot and grass fed beef from The Traditional Beef Co. With around 40 stalls to choose from there’ll be something to suit every taste.
The picnic area provides the perfect place to relax with friends and family. There’ll be a fine array of delicious food including, amongst others, exceptional Indian street food from award winning chef Hrishikesh Desai and Agnes Spencer’s superb jerk chicken. Afternoon tea will be served by vintage boutique Cox and Baloney. The bar will be in very capable hands with some fantastic local brewers and independents including The Bristol Cider Shop and Grape and Grind, who’ll serving up your favourite tipple alongside the gorgeous Lovely Drinks with their award winning juice bar.
Children, as always will be very well entertained with a traditional Punch and Judy show, ice cream making with award-winning Winstones Ice Cream, balloon modelling, face painting, butter making, a Tyningsfield Allotment Group, ‘vegetable art’ corner and a fantastic mini croquet lawn!
Glenhalme Herbs will be resident in the courtyard with their stunning array of herbs and salads alongside local children from Holymead Infant School, who’ll be selling vegetable plants they’ve grown to raise funds for their garden.
With the well loved blend of laid back music, a super, friendly atmosphere and huge helpings of fun, what better way to spend a Sunday than to Love Food?
The Love Food Festival will return after the summer break with dates at Dyrham Park on September 11th and at Paintworks on September 25th.
