This Easter Sunday, between 10am and 2.30pm, the Tobacco Factory will be holding an extra-special Easter Market featuring some of the region’s best chocolate producers. Come and get your hands on some delicious delights for yourself or your loved ones…
Cheddar-based chocolatiers Maison Loulou produce fresh, handmade chocolates in a range of lip-smacking and unusual flavours such as ginger and fennel, fresh lime, and salted caramel. They will also have beautiful hand-painted Indian boxes for sale which you can fill with their luxury treats.
Chocacao’s stall is the place to go for a chocolate fix. Their chocolate shapes and slabs – which are handmade in rural Somerset – are not only delicious, but also chock-full of cranberries, pistachios and ginger to provide your daily requirement of health-beneficial antioxidants.
Radek’s freshly made chocolates, truffles and brownies are all dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free. They are organic and the chocolate is fair trade. Guild free chocolate!
Feeding Your Imagination’s products are organic, fair-trade and handmade in England using the finest Belgian chocolate. Infused with essential oils and herbs, they are a mood-enhancing indulgence created to uplift, relax or soothe you. Peppermint and cardamom, chilli, and bergamot and cinnamon are just some of the extraordinary flavours on offer.
Elements for Life sell raw, organic cacao in all its forms – from cacao butter for cooking to fun chocolate-making kits. Their products are all free from refined sugar, dairy and wheat, so are suitable for vegans, diabetics and those that are lactose intolerant, but tasty enough for all chocolate-lovers alike. Elements for Life will also be doing live demonstrations of just how quick and easy it is to make your own mouth-watering raw chocolates at home.
There’s plenty to keep children entertained too: they can try their hand at making chocolate nests and have a go at decorating cakes with marzipan chicks, bunnies and carrots at the Good Cook School’s brilliant cookery workshops. There will also be an Easter Egg Hunt for young adventurers.
And as if all that chocolate isn’t enough, the market’s usual stallholders will be selling delicious bread, fresh fruit & veg, meat, fish, fresh patés, preserves, artisan cheese, beautiful cakes, olives, plants, gorgeous arts & crafts and much more besides.
You can treat yourself to lunch at the market too – including fresh and tasty pies, curry, Szechuan cooking or sushi – and the Tobacco Factory Café Bar will be open from 10am for brunch, tapas, coffee and cake, and lovely local beers.
Don’t forget, the market takes place every Sunday, but this is your chance to stock up on all of the chocolate you need for Easter!
