I think it’s mandatory to become an obsessive cider drinker when you move to Bristol! We’ve certainly developed a love of the stuff, and are just looking forward to summer nights at the Apple with a nice glass of Old Bristolian.
In the meantime, we’ll be making do with the Bristol Winter Cider Festival this coming weekend at the Brunel Passenger Shed at the British Empire & Commonwealth Museum, near Temple Meads station. The festival’s being held on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th January, and tickets are now available from CLS Tickets for £6.50 per session (Friday 7.30-11pm, Saturday 11am-4pm, Saturday 7.30-11pm). If you don’t fancy booking in advance, tickets are also available on the door for £7.50.
They’ll be serving over 100 ciders and perries from Somerset, Herefordshire, Wales and Hampshire, and will also have hog roasts and cheese platters available to soak up the booze 🙂 And if that’s not enough, the Mangledwurzels will also be playing 😉
Think we may need a quiet one on Sunday at this rate…!!
