Well done Guide2Bristol on painstakingly counting over 8,000 votes for the upcoming restaurant, deli and cafe categories of the 2012 Bristol Good Food Awards! According to the team, nearly 300 businesses were nominated in total, and these have now been whittled down to 93 in 24 different categories.
Throughout May and June, independent judging of each category will take place, to determine the overall winners. The judging panel consists of Head Judge Angela Mount and her team of Xanthe Clay (Telegraph), Fiona Beckett (Guardian), Mark Taylor (Evening Post), Nick Gregory (Flavour), Thane Prince (Good Food Channel), Barbora Stiess (Devilled Egg Kitchen Academy), Emily Knight (Bristol Bites), Lorna Knapman (Love Food Festival), Dan Vaux Nobes (Essex Eating) and Gemma Screen and Becci Sargent (Bristol Foodie).
